COBRA Continuation Coverage

COBRA allows employees and their dependents to continue group health coverage after certain qualifying events such as termination or reduced hours.

COBRA generally applies to employers with 20 or more employees.

Coverage typically lasts 18–36 months, depending on the qualifying event.

The employee or dependent usually pays the full premium plus up to a 2% administrative fee.
